“Yashvi jaldi kar teri wajah se mein late ho jaungi,” Devika yelled at her sister because she is getting ready for her college program. It's been three days since they came to their house.
Devika has been dreaming and writing about her thoughts with him. She always blushed whenever her sister teased her.
“Let's go di, why are you dreaming about jiju,” Yashvi giggled and flipped her braid back. “Shut up stupid girl,” she grabbed her hand, both of them took auto and she dropped her in her school. Yashvi was in 11th grade.
After that she paid and went to college, fixing her hair. Today was a cultural fest in their college, and she had to welcome the participants and guests.
She wears her id card and stands between the stairs in the seminar hall. She directed all the students to their seats “Good morning Devika didi,” the juniors greeted their favourite seniors. She smiled and nodded her head.
“Janvi tum udhar end se direct karo, main idhar se karti hu,” she told her friend, Janvi, she nodded in agreement and went in the corner.
Soon the hall filled with students and teachers, some students were standing, some were talking with each other.
Suddenly their principal, HOD, came with the chief guest, guards spread in the area. But her eyes widened when she saw Rudransh Pratap, the CM aka her soon to be husband.
He had his hand joined greeting everyone like a typical politician. Suddenly his gaze met with her, she stood straight and tried to hide her blushy cheeks.
He stopped and looked around “You all may sit too,” her class coordinator immediately came in front and asked her and her friends to sit.
After that he moved towards the stage and settled on the decorated couch. “Today we have our chief minister with us. It is our honor that he took out time for us, please welcome him with big applause,” the seminar hall echoed with the loud sound of clapping.
Soon some students showed their arts, then some showed their dance and like this the activities were going on.
Devika, on the other hand, continuously looked at him who was not looking at girls who were performing instead he was talking with their principal.
“Yeh meri taraf kyun nahin dekh rahe hain?” She thought and looked in her mobile to check herself.
“Acchi toh lag rahin hu phir bhi nahin dekh rahe akdu kahi ke,” she shook her head and focused on the performance and checking the list.
Meanwhile he looked up to glance at her secretly, he noticed a small pout on lips. Correcting his specs he chuckled lightly only to himself.
After half an hour he stood up along with everyone. “Thank you everyone for the warm welcome,” he smiled politely, moving towards the exit with his guards. He again glanced towards her but she was not there, furrowing his brows he looked around but couldn't find her.
Devika took a plate and placed food on her plate and started eating, her mouth filled with pastry. She moved without senses and crashed with him. His suit got dirty with cake, but his hand immediately grabbed her from her waist. She flinched with a sudden collision and closed her eyes.
“Are you okay?” He asked in a worried tone as she slowly opened her eyes after recognizing his voice.
“Agar koi aur hota toh aap usko bhi aise hi pakdte kya?” She questioned him back.
He furrowed and removed his hand from her waist and just grabbed her wrist. She screamed and tightly held his hand, before standing straight.
“Nahin!” He simply answered and walked away with his bouncers.
“Kaisa pagal CM hain yaar, tu theek toh haina?” Her friend rushed to her and grabbed her shoulder.
“What was he talking to you about?” she again asked.
“Nothing, he was just saying to be careful next time but I had ruined his shirt,” Devika said and wiped the cream off from hands with tissue.
“Chor uss CM ke bacche ko chal kuch khate hain bahut bhook lagi hain,” Janvi said angrily. “Don't say this. It was my mistake. I was walking blindly,” Devika corrected her friend and again filled her plate.
Janvi gave her an annoyed look but didn't say anything and filled her plate too.
After eating she bid bye to her friend and went to pick her sister from the school. Soon they both reached their home. “Mummy I'm not hungry, I had already eaten in college, now I'm going to sleep so please don't disturb me.”
Devika pov
I changed my clothes into comfortable ones and washed my face. And landed on my bed, today was a very hectic day.
Suddenly, I remembered him. Why is he so handsome? I giggled and flipped on my stomach but then realisation hitted me.
Did my question make him angry? I shouldn’t have asked it. I am already behaving like his wife.
Oh my god, his wife. I smiled foolishly and closed my eyes and didn’t know when I fell asleep.
I felt like I was flying in clouds and then suddenly fell harder on the ground. I groaned in pain and tried to open my eyes.
Yashvi was sitting on the bed, me? I was on the ground. What? I sat looking around in confusion, wasn’t I flying in the clouds.
Suddenly she pinched on my elbow “OUCH,” I yelled in pain and glared at her.
She handed me mobile and said in a very low voice “Didi jiju ka phone hain,” my eyes widened. I looked at her to confirm that she was teasing again but there was seriousness in her eyes.
I glanced at the mobile it was my father's. I pushed the mobile towards her but she pushed back to me and rushed outside of the room.
After taking deep breaths, I exhaled loudly and cleared my throat before pressing the unmute button.
I put the mobile on my ear “he.. hello,” I cursed myself in my mind for scattering. “Kaisi hain aap, devi,”
I'm dead someone please buried me.
